GMCCC Recognizes the City of Riverdale Municipal Court for its Under 21 Alternative Sentencing Program

Jekyll Island, Georgia - On November 2, 2017, the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks’ Council recognized the City of Riverdale Municipal Court at its annual business meeting with its distinguished Program of the Year award.  The award was presented to the Court Administrator Nathaniel Mingo.  Mr. Mingo accepted the award on behalf of the court and shared the purpose and success rate of the program to his peers.

This honor is awarded to Municipal Courts throughout the State of Georgia who are making a difference.  Through peer and judicial nominations and a thorough review process, the awards committee makes recommendations to the Executive Committee.  The award’s committee selected the Under 21 Alternative Sentencing Program for its efforts in educating and providing youthful offenders in its community tools and resources to make alternative choices providing them with a second chance opportunity to thrive as productive members of society.

On behalf of the Executive Committee and members of GMCCC, we congratulate the City of Riverdale Municipal Court as its 2017 Program of the Year recipient!
