Cairo, GA — A belated celebration of Law Day 2017 (the official day is Monday, May 1) will take place on May 18th in the South Georgia Judicial Circuit with invited constituents who will experience a “Day on the Bench.”
Invitees will hear from Chief Justice P. The event provides an opportunity for the public to have a first-hand look at the role of the judge, the issues that are handled in court, and the day-to-day operations of a courtroom. The theme of Law Day for 2017 is ‘14th Amendment Transforming American Democracy.’
The event, which is sponsored by the South Georgia Judicial Circuit in partnership with the Judicial Council/Administrative Office of the Courts, will take place at the Grady County Justice Center starting at 8:30 a.m. and ending at noon, followed by lunch.
