Macon, GA — The Judicial Council, chaired by Chief Justice Hugh P. Thompson, will meet at the Macon Marriott City Center/Macon Centreplex Convention Center Entrance on September 30, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to discuss a variety of action items and reports.
Members will hear reports from the Strategic Plan Implementation Committee and Policy and Legislative Committee as well special presentations on Criminal Justice Reform in Georgia and a recommendation for an additional Superior Court Judgeship. Additionally, the Council of Superior Court Judges Security Committee will give an update to the Council.
The 26-member Judicial Council of Georgia meets several times a year to act on policy and administrative matters of the judiciary. Judges of the appellate and trial courts at all levels are represented on the Council. For the agenda and meeting materials, please click here.
