Atlanta, GA — The Judicial Council, chaired by Chief Justice Hugh P. Thompson, will meet at the Sheraton Atlanta on December 16, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to discuss a variety of proposals and reports.
Members will vote on proposed legislative issues for the upcoming 2015 General Assembly, Judicial Workload Assessment Committee recommendations, and training curricula for Georgia Magistrate and Municipal Court Training Councils.
The Judicial Council will hear reports from the Strategic Plan Committee, Accountability Court Committee, and the Senate Unified Technology Study Committee.
The 26-member Judicial Council of Georgia meets several times a year to act on policy and administrative matters of the judiciary. Judges of the appellate and trial courts at all levels are represented on the Council. For the agenda and meeting materials, please click here.
