Superior Court of Oglethorpe County
 

Oglethorpe County, named after James Edward Oglethorpe, founder of Georgia and Governor, was created December 19, 1793. Located at 111 Monument Street, Lexington, the Superior Court of Oglethorpe County presides over jury trials, rules on evidence, hears motions, and renders verdicts in bench trials. Each Superior Court Judge is a constitutional officer elected to four-year terms of office.


Terms of Court of Oglethorpe County commence on the 3rd Monday in May and 3rd Monday in November.
