To always support the goals and objectives of the Council of Municipal Court Judges of Georgia and the Georgia Municipal Courts Training Council;
To serve as a conduit to State organizations and among courts;
To offer training and educational opportunities;
To promulgate professional and ethical standards; and,
To provide the courts access to performance qualification standards and evaluation procedures, and best practices in court operations and accounting procedures.

GMCCC is an organization that is committed to the establishment of a superior support mechanism for all of the Georgia’s court clerks. Our membership consists of 274 court clerks throughout the State of Georgia. Our membership number has grown since our Council has been in existence for 3 years.
This year we approved and adopted 1) a Standard Operating Procedures/Polices for the committees, 2) approved and adopted a GMCCC Retention Schedule and 3) continued to work toward a clerk’s retirement.
Today we have announced the Clerk of the Year, Program of the Year and the President’s Award. These awards recognized the quality that our clerks present in their daily work environment as well as their teamwork. We have also introduced the new GMCCC Officers for the coming fiscal year starting July 1, 2009.
A few years ago, we started expressing a desire to have a clerk’s council formed. A few clerks formed this, and since the organization has started, we have a few still remain interested in this organization. GMCCC is everyone’s council, not just a few. People feel that they hear the same names every year, but they are the only people that will step up and help support this organization. Other people need to step forward and make a commitment. If not, there will be no GMCCC.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and to encourage you to participate in our organization so we can work together to reach our goal. That goal is to see that each clerk has all the information, education and resources they need to serve and protect the citizens of their community in a fair and professional way.
