Atlanta, GA — The Judicial Council, chaired by Chief Justice Hugh P. Thompson, will meet at the Georgia Freight Depot on February 27, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to discuss a variety of proposals and reports.
Members will vote on legislative issues for the current 2015 General Assembly session and hear reports from the Strategic Plan Implementation Committee, Court Reporting Matters Committee, Accountability Court Committee, and the Access, Fairness, and Public Trust and Confidence Committee. The Council will also receive from the A. L. Burruss Institute of Public Service and Research the results of the Access and Fairness Survey conducted to determine a baseline for public satisfaction with Georgia courts.
The 26-member Judicial Council of Georgia meets several times a year to act on policy and administrative matters of the judiciary. Judges of the appellate and trial courts at all levels are represented on the Council. For the agenda and meeting materials, please click here.
