On January 10, 2018, the Court Reporting Matters Committee voted to approve the Judicial Council Policies and Fees for Court Reporting in Civil Cases. This approved draft was presented to the Judicial Council on April 27 in Athens, Georgia.
Following this presentation to the Judicial Council, who governs the Court Reporting Matters Committee, a public commentary period of forty-five (45) days begins on May 1 and ends on June 14, 2018. During this period, the Administrative Office of the Courts will record and compile all comments made by stakeholders and the public. These comments will be presented to the Court Reporter Matters Committee at their next meeting in July.
During the comment period, comments will be accepted on the Board of Court Reporters’ website, bcr.georgiacourts.gov, which will ensure staff properly record which will then be reported to the Court Reporting Matters Committee.
