Learning Essentials About Professionalism (LEAP) Seminar

The LEAP seminar is designed to educate, guide and mentor newly Georgia Certified Court Reporter.  Many of the subjects covered include Board Rules and Regulations, professionalism, ethics, freelance and official fiduciary issues and, most importantly, transcripts.  Attendees will learn the dynamics of a professional court reporter.

The Judicial Council of Georgia adopted LEAP into the Board of Court Reporting Rules and Regulations. Every newly certified Georgia court reporter shall be required to take the first Learning Essentials About Professionalism Seminar (LEAP Seminar) authorized by the Board after their certification.

Who is required to attend the LEAP seminar?

Every newly certified Georgia court reporter shall complete the first LEAP seminar, authorized by the Board of Court Reporting, after their certification.

Who may attend LEAP seminar?

Any certified Georgia court reporter seeking continuing education (CE) hours per calendar year to maintain a valid certificate to practice as a reporter in Georgia.  Note: The certified court reporter must not have previously attended and earned CE hours for LEAP.
