SEPARATION, LOSS AND GRIEF IN CHILDHOOD
MORNING SESSION: 10 AM - NOON
An overview of the categories and impact of traumatic loss for children. The program will include the latest research and best practices. Resources for professionals and parents include accessing additional training. Special emphasis on addressing young survivors of suicide.
DEVELOPING AND SUSTAINING TRAUMATIC LOSS COALITIONS FOR YOUTH
AFTERNOON SESSION: 1—4 PM
Traumatic loss coalitions bring professionals from schools and the community together to help young victims of traumatic loss. This presentation assists in finding support inside and outside of school systems. Suicide prevention will be emphasized. Coalition work in both prevention and post-vention will be covered.
